Well, I've been a busy bee in the last wee while since my previous post. College on Monday! Crazy. That'll be intense I'm sure, and I'll be cursing all the excitement I had for it. Hehe. I'm pretty sure my surge of doingstuff will be over promptly.
Okay, well in the world of my art and stuff, me and the boyfriend took my little sister to Edinburgh zoo (not because its a nice thing to do, because he 'wanted to see the sunbears') which was productive for photography! I literally got hundreds (and even had to delete some off the cards cos I ran out of space) and replaced the batteries once. The camera guzzles them up, so that's going to be a hefty investment on my part. It's actually my Dad's camera, but I've adopted it momentarily. Although my shaky hands sometimes ruin everything. I'll get the zoo upload uploaded asap, some crackers in there (IMO) and a few maybe worthy of stock usage.
Also, the other weekend I was away for my second cousin's wedding. It was at Coombe Abbey in Coventry, England, and is just about the most beautiful place evaaaa. Proper old mansion, medievel themed, stunning archicture and buildwork. The interiors were to die for. So opulent, full of rich mahogany wood and velvet everywhere. I don't think I got any photos worthy of even using as stock, but look up Coombe Abbey on the net if you're interested. Absolutely lush.
Aside from photos, I'm currently working on a beasting massive A3 equine piece. It's the first time I've done a horse of this size in colour pencil, and it's definately testing. Hopefully, if it's successful it might be availible for sale. I've still got a few aspects of the piece to work out, and it's nowhere near finished.
But tonight me and le boyf are going to see the up-and-coming Scottish comedian, Kevin Bridges. He's hilarious and just my humour, another significant player in the crude Scottish Comedians Club (a la Frankie Boyle, Billy Connelly). It's the first time I've got to see a high profile act in the Fringe, since usually I'm on the lookout for small time comedy, drama or music. But he's just great, and guarenteed to deliver. Au revoir!
